Leeds are expected to add to Daniel Farke's squad in January, and the winger position is one they hope to address. The switch to a 3-5-2 in recent weeks has hammered down the squad's struggles in this area of the pitch, which is why there is such a desire to make a signing or two here. Noah Okafor was the only recognised winger brought to Elland Road in the summer, but he has struggled since his move from AC Milan.
Leeds United are interested in signing the Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan. The 23-year-old has been a key player for the Scottish outfit since joining them, and his performances have attracted the attention of multiple clubs. I want to play. I'm not ready to call it quits by any means. I don't feel old. I've still got that hunger to play and do well. I just want the opportunity to show what I can still do. I feel like I can add value on the pitch but also show the right way to train, the right way to act on and off the pitch. I'm in the bracket now where I've been lucky enough to play for top clubs, win things and work with top managers. I know a lot more now than I did when I started out.
I don't know what happened, the Hungary international said. After 2-0, you know, I think that we thought that the game is over. This is the kind of game that you can never underestimate the team that you play against. Maybe after the penalty they just had the momentum we came back so it's a good reaction from the team again, and yeah conceding again from a set-piece, it's not the nicest way.
Ao Tanaka scored a 96th-minute equaliser as Leeds hit back to deny Liverpool a morale-boosting win at Elland Road. The champions appeared ready to put their recent uncertain form behind them when two quick-fire goals from the recalled Hugo Ekitiké at the start of the second half put them in control. Leeds hit back, though, and a Dominic Calvert-Lewin penalty and Anton Stach goal restored parity and set up a frantic final 15 minutes.
Leeds United are looking to improve the attacking unit with the signing of AC Milan Striker Santiago Gimenez, as per Fichajes. The 24-year-old Mexican has not been able to hold down a regular starting spot at the Italian club, and he needs to move in order to get his career back on track. It will be interesting to see which of the two English clubs decides to follow up on their interest with an official proposal at the end of the season.
"It was a great win at a difficult place. We had to dig deep and work hard and show our determination,. We deserved the win in the end. "When you look at everyone in the room we will work as hard as we can and leave everything out there. We may not be at it as normal but sometimes heart and determination gets you over the line."
Leeds United are looking to sell Illan Meslier in January. The French goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order at the English club, and he needs to move on in order to play regularly. Sitting on the bench at Leeds will not benefit him at this stage of his career. Meanwhile, a report from SpazioMilan claims that AC Milan are interested in providing him with an exit route.
It's that mentality of win or learn. You win, but if you don't, you analyse why. Where you start is not where you are collectively at the end of the season. We haven't got an abundance of experience but we have enough and we have players that can grow into roles, and step up. It's achievable, the evidence shows that
