Noah Clowney delivered another breakout performance with 29 points and career highs in free throws made (10) and attempted (12), but it still wasn't enough. The Utah Jazz surged in the fourth quarter to snap Brooklyn's two-game win streak and send the Nets to 5-17 after a 123-110 win. And for most of the night, it looked like Brooklyn had done enough to extend that streak.
On the first leg of a back-to-back, Toronto had Brooklyn on their schedule, and although Toronto ultimately got the win, Brooklyn made them work for it, harder than you would expect from a team with their level of talent. Toronto showed poise last night during the closing stretches of the game, where it seemed that Brooklyn was going to overtake them, and get the upset. Toronto did what good teams have to be able to do, and that's battle through adversity and win close games.
And then obviously the minutes played. Egor, I believe, leads the rookies right now in minutes. And Noah, as one of the younger guys, third year in the league, just turned 21. He's earned those minutes. He's doing great things, and we believe and know they can do even better.
