Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has wanted to attack Iran for his entire political career, and he finally got his way with US President Donald Trump in the White House. Within Israel, there is huge support for the war.
We had, you remember the last few months of 2001 and virtually all of 2002 in order to make the case that action was needed against Iraq. We had time at the U.N, the U.N. resolution. We had an authorization for the use of force resolution before the Congress. So we were able to consciously, deliberately, and over a long course of time to lay out the case. That's not been the instance here.

Only 22% opposed the idea, while 6% gave no opinion.
"Democrats are taking on water. And we have a higher pain tolerance," a senior administration official told Axios. But so far, Trump has displayed none of the concerns or worry he had in 2018-2019, during the longest shutdown of 35 days.
