In the Feb. 2 suit, filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, lawyers for the GDC argue that Trump's U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) is in breach of a contract the agency inked with GDC under former President Biden's administration. Under the accord, USDOT committed to funding the Gateway tunnel to the tune of $15 billion representing 90% of the $16 billion project through a series of federal grants.

Officials said a train accident in southern Mexico injured at least 15 people and halted traffic along a rail line connecting the Pacific Ocean with the Gulf of Mexico. The Interoceanic Train linking the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz derailed as it passed a curve near the town of Nizanda. In a message on X Sunday, Oaxaca state Gov. Since FECR owns the tracks, it has a joint use agreement that lets Brightline run its trains on those tracks. The redevelopment of Euston station and the surrounding area could restart in a few years' time, with a tender contract having just gone out for a design and engineering partner to develop the plans for the site.
