I'm very sorry that a [player] can't say he's gay freely. It doesn't matter the orientation of a person when it comes to developing a profession like soccer. It's a partner, who trains like you, who works like you and who plays soccer like you.
It didn't help for me to get personal with Riley, Biles wrote in a follow-up post. These are sensitive, complicated issues that I truly don't have the answers or solutions to, but I believe it starts with empathy and respect.
