During the Super Bowl, Sinclair's digital stations Charge! and National News Desk will stream Kid Rock on Turning Point USA's "All American Halftime Show," an unusual move that will see the broadcast group competing against its own affiliates for viewers. According to DC anchor Jim Lokay, Sinclair owns and operates over 20 NBC stations around the country. But while NBC and Peacock are airing the (also All-American) Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring Puerto Rican Bad Bunny and Californians Green Day,
Apple has spearheaded the Super Bowl halftime show since 2023, building a complex array of advertising, teasers, playlists, and other content across its many platforms for Rihanna (2023), Usher (2024), and Kendrick Lamar (2025). Since the start of this $50-million-per-year sponsorship deal, Apple has treated the halftime show like it might be one of its products, with all the marketing and advertising bells and whistles it has at its disposal for things like the iPhone and Apple Watch.

Jennifer Lopez, on Monday, was visibly thrown off when Today show co-host Craig Melvin asked her about her ex-husband Ben Affleck, while the pop star was on the show to promote her new flick, Kiss of the Spiderwoman. Melvin, midway through the interview, said: In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce is also finalized with Ben. There you go! Look at this guy!
On September 20th, presumably in response to Jimmy Kimmel's suspension, the governor tweeted, "BECAUSE OF HIS HORRIFIC MUSIC, CALIFORNIA WILL INDEFINITELY SUSPEND KID ROCK FROM PERFORMING IN THE GOLDEN STATE. YOU'RE WELCOME! - GCN." Over the summer, the governor also posted a fake endorsement poster reading, "Kid Rock Wants You to Support Governor Newsom," to which the musician responded, "The only support Gavin Newscum will ever get out of me is from DEEZ NUTZ."
