Pittsburgh's Willie Stargell finished second. 1975 - The Kansas City Royals release slugger Harmon Killebrew, ending a 22-year career marked by 573 home runs, good for fifth on the all-time list.

The Reds won the game 7-3. 1997 - Andruw Jones hits the Braves' 10th grand slam of the season to set a new National League record. 2001 - The Braves acquire Julio Franco from the Mexico City Tigers.
