The company previously told me that Threads users had options to see "fewer" posts from the bot in their feeds through muting or using the "not interested" button that informs the app's recommendations. People can also hide replies to their own posts if someone loops in the AI.

ChatGPT users can now tweak the chatbot's warmth, enthusiasm, and emoji use, according to a social media post from OpenAI. These options (as well as similar adjustments to ChatGPT's use of headers and lists) now appear in the Personalization menu and can be set to More, Less, or Default. They allow users to further customize ChatGPT's tone, on top of the existing ability to set a "base style and tone" - including the Professional, Candid, and Quirky tones that OpenAI added in November.

TikTok is giving users the power to reduce the amount of artificial intelligence-made content on their feeds, as it revealed the platform hosts more than 1bn AI videos. The change, which is being tested over the next few weeks before a global rollout, comes as new video-generating tools such as OpenAI's Sora and Google's Veo 3 have spurred a surge in AI content online.

Meta announced on Tuesday a new Facebook algorithm update that will showcase more Reels videos tailored to users' preferences. The update includes features that offer users greater control over the videos they see, AI-powered search suggestions, and new friend bubbles. Facebook will make it easier for users to express their disinterest in these types of videos. They can now select "Not Interested" on a Reel or flag a comment, prompting the recommendations engine to adapt based on this feedback.
