Extend with AI lets creators pick a moment in an eligible Short, choose a suggested prompt, and generate a new segment up to five seconds long. The generated segment becomes part of a new remixed Short while the original creator's video remains unchanged. Creators start by tapping Remix, selecting Extend with AI, choosing a clip, and picking from prompts generated based on the chosen video. In preview, creators can add music from a curated audio list, return to the camera to add clips, and reorder clips. Most generated videos will be about eight seconds or less. The feature will roll out gradually outside the E.U. and U.K.
