View From The Other Side: Twins Questions for Benjamin Jones from Twinkie Town
Briefly

As the Blue Jays head to Minnesota for a critical three-game series against the Twins, both teams are vying for playoff positioning. The Twins, currently holding the first Wild Card spot, have a talented roster but face competition from the Tigers. Their path to success hinges on their ability to consistently score runs, with a record of 30-4 when scoring four or more runs. Key player returns and performance from Royce Lewis are crucial for boosting their lineup, while their elite pitching staff remains a significant strength despite recent injuries.
The Twins can and will catch the Tigers if they do one thing: hit. They are 30-4 when scoring 4+ runs, which is not that high of a bar to clear but one they have struggled with until recently.
The AL Central has turned into the elite of the AL this season so far, however, I don't think the Guardians and Royals have the talent to compete with the top teams.
The Twins have a lot of talent, but they will need to rely on the return of key players and the performance of Royce Lewis for a boost.
Their closing trio of Jhoan Duran, Griffin Jax, and Louie Varland have dominant stuff and can really help in tight situations during the playoff stretch.
