No complaints: Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge not bitter about Champions League performance
Briefly

Bayern Munich, having aimed for a strong Champions League performance in 2024/25 to host the finale, faced disappointment after a mixed season. Club legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed no regret over the team's outcomes, emphasizing that while they aimed for a top-eight finish, they struggled due to injuries and three defeats. Despite failing to reach the expected level, he noted some positive performances against teams like Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan. Looking forward, Bayern is already preparing to strengthen its squad for the upcoming 2025/26 season and continue its pursuit of greatness.
I'm not complaining at all. We had a mixed Champions League season, especially underwhelming in the league phase. Our goal was to finish among the top eight teams - but with three defeats, we didn't achieve that.
We played very well against Leverkusen, and we performed well against Inter, considering our injury situation. But in order to reach the final, everything really has to be right - unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time.
