Tennessee trans woman beaten in 'terrifying' attack at storage unit speaks out
Briefly

Tyler Flanagan, a professional makeup artist and trans woman, was brutally assaulted at a Nashville storage facility by workers of Black Tie Moving. During the incident on May 30, five men verbally and physically attacked her and her friend while using hateful slurs and misgendering them. CCTV footage captures the terrifying attack, which led Flanagan to report it to the police. Both Extra Space Storage and Black Tie Moving condemned the assault, but initial reports suggest little was done to protect her during the incident. The case remains under investigation.
"Their aggression was loud, hateful, and terrifying," she added.
"His assault was unprovoked, intentional, and fuelled by hate," she wrote.
"This was the first time in my years living in Nashville that I've truly feared for my life."
"Those are situations that some people like myself don't make it out of."
