Confirmed participants include Matt Mahan, Tom Steyer, Antonio Villaraigosa, Steve Hilton, Tony Thurmond, Xavier Becerra and Betty Yee. Absent candidates include Eric Swalwell, Katie Porter, Chad Bianco and Ian Calderon, with organizers citing scheduling conflicts. KTVU FOX 2 will host the debate in partnership with KTTV FOX 11 and the Black Action Alliance; Loren Taylor is the alliance's interim CEO.
