This recall is part of an ongoing investigation by the NHTSA, which had previously opened an inquiry due to reports of 22 incidents involving its fifth-generation driver. The collisions occurred between December 2022 and April 2024, but did not result in any injuries. A spokesperson confirmed that a software update had been rolled out by late 2024, emphasizing the company's commitment to safety and collaboration with regulatory agencies.
