A Pew Research Center survey of 1,458 U.S. teens aged 13 to 17, conducted Sept. 25–Oct. 9, 2025, measured social media platform use and AI engagement. YouTube is the most-used platform, with nine in ten teens reporting use. About six in ten teens report using TikTok and Instagram; roughly 55% use Snapchat, 31% use Facebook, and 24% use WhatsApp. AI chatbot use is common, with 64% of teens having used one and 36% not using them. ChatGPT is the leading AI chatbot, used by 59% of teens, while Gemini ranks second. Platform popularity and AI adoption shape teens' digital habits.
