The Pew Research Center is a non-partisan "think tank" that researches trends in public opinion, demographics, and social issues throughout the United States. "For decades, Pew Research Center has tracked the evolving technology landscape to understand how Americans use and think about different technologies," says research associate and report co-author Michelle Faverio. "This report is part of a broader effort examining teens' digital habits and attitudes, as teens often lead the way in adopting new technologies."

An analysis of census data released by Pew Research Center on Thursday noted that between January and June, the United States' foreign-born population had declined by more than a million people. Millions of people arrived at the border between 2021 and 2023 seeking refuge in America after the COVID-19 pandemic emergency, which ravaged many of their home countries. In 2023, California was home to 11.3 million immigrants, roughly 28.4% of the national total, according to Pew.

More than half of U.S. workers fear artificial intelligence will take their jobs. Data from the Pew Research Center shows that 52% of its survey respondents worried about being replaced.

According to the Pew Research Center, there were 59.7 million U.S. residents who lived with multiple generations under the same roof as of March 2021 - a number that has quadrupled since 1971.
