A dense fog advisory covers North Bay Interior Valleys and East Bay Interior Valleys from Friday 8:06 p.m. through Saturday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. Widespread dense fog can reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions. Drivers should slow down, use low-beam headlights and fog lights if available, and maintain increased following distances. Avoid high beams because they create glare and reduce visibility. Use lane markings to stay in your lane, allow extra travel time if commuting, and consider postponing or avoiding travel across the region until conditions improve.
