Kylian Mbappé said he understands the consequences of far-right parties coming to power and expressed concern about Marine Le Pen’s National Rally winning the next presidential election. Jordan Bardella responded quickly, mocking Mbappé’s football record and claiming that when Mbappé left PSG, the club won the Champions League. Marine Le Pen said she found Mbappé’s stance reassuring and argued that his strategy of leaving PSG for Real Madrid did not deliver the expected results. National Rally officials said Mbappé should not act as a political activist and must represent all of France, including National Rally voters. Mbappé previously criticized the RN’s electoral gains in 2024, and Bardella has maintained a long-standing feud with him.
