He said betting on himself means helping the team win a championship and called the negotiation process a valuable learning experience. Kuminga noted he was glad to hear various offers and to be back with teammates who welcomed his return. Coach Steve Kerr reported no ill will from prior tensions and said Kuminga appeared in good condition after offseason workouts. Kuminga averaged 15.3 points last season and saw minutes fluctuate following a severe ankle injury.
