Shohei Ohtani announced on Instagram the birth of his first child with wife Mamiko Tanaka, a daughter born on Saturday. Ohtani expressed profound gratitude towards his wife for the healthy delivery, acknowledged the support from the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, teammates, fans, and medical professionals, while also sharing the couple's journey into parenthood. Ohtani was placed on the Dodgers' paternity list prior to the birth. They recently married in February 2024 and also have a dog named Decoy.
