"In August 2023, the victim ran away from a group home in Fall River and attempted to hitchhike to visit her biological mother in Brockton, the release said. Hector, who was 36 at the time, agreed to give the victim a ride. The girl told Hector she was 18 years old, according to prosecutors. Hector took the girl to Riverview Inn & Suites in Somerset, where the two spent the night."
"Hector was accused of giving the teenager approximately five drinks, which she believed to be alcohol mixed with orange juice, the release said. "The victim reported feeling intoxicated, could not move, could not see straight, and kept falling asleep. However, the defendant had sexual intercourse with her numerous times throughout the evening," the release said. The next morning, the girl woke up alone and called the police."
"At the police station, Hector told a detective that "in the eyes of the law, he had done something wrong," the release said. A search warrant of Hector's phone found three photos of the girl with her breasts exposed, prosecutors said. Detectives found "used condoms, condom wrappers, and an empty bottle of male performance liquid" in the hotel room, according to the release. Hector's DNA was a positive match to evidence collected from the girl for a rape kit, prosecutors said."
Trevon Hector, 38, will serve five to seven years in state prison for raping a 14-year-old who was hitchhiking. He will also serve a concurrent four-and-a-half to five-year sentence for possessing child pornography. The victim ran away from a group home in August 2023 and tried to hitchhike to visit her biological mother. Hector, 36 at the time, gave her a ride after she told him she was 18, took her to a Somerset hotel, and provided about five drinks before repeatedly having sexual intercourse with her while she was incapacitated. Police recovered explicit photos, condom evidence, and a DNA match to the victim.
