Police are investigating the alleged assaults, which reportedly occurred on March 9 earlier this year. At 8.40pm in Cruikshank Street, a woman in her 20s reported being followed by a man who sexually assaulted her before walking away towards Great Percy Street.
Defense attorney John MacDonald expressed gratitude to the jury for recognizing that the case had no sexual intent, saying, "We are very satisfied that the jury saw the case as we saw it."
Morgan explained in the suit that she couldn't alert flight attendants during the remainder of the flight because they did not do any walk-throughs and that she first reported the assault to an American Airlines gate agent after arriving in Dallas. Morgan said her accusation was disregarded and turned to 'victim blaming,' as the gate agent questioned why she didn't take action during the flight.
