The Museum of Brutalist Architecture (MoBA) is being established as the first permanent museum dedicated to Brutalist architecture in the UK. Urban Learners, an education and design agency, previously launched this initiative as a digital project. With funding from the National Lottery Heritage, MoBA will be located in the Assembly Hall of Camden's Acland Burghley School. This Grade II-listed building will undergo restoration as part of the 'A Hall for All' project, which aims to enhance facilities for performances and create a dedicated space for the museum, with construction slated to begin in spring.
The Museum of Brutalist Architecture (MoBA) is set to become the first permanent institution of its kind in the UK, dedicated to the architectural style of Brutalism.
Housed within the Assembly Hall of Camden's Acland Burghley School, MoBA will enhance the Grade II-listed building, which requires restoration and upgraded facilities.
