Gene Announce First North American Tour in 24 Years
"Two subsequent LPs (1999's Revelations and 2001's Libertine) didn't make as much of an impact before personal and professional issues led to Gene's breakup in 2004. They formally reunited for one show in 2008, as well as a handful of shows in 2025 around the 30th anniversary of Olympian."
Gene will embark on a North American tour for the first time in 24 years in November 2026. The reunited Britpop band, which reunited in 2025, has scheduled shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Washington, and New York, plus an appearance at California’s Darker Waves Festival on November 14. The itinerary also includes London dates on October 9 and 10 at the Roundhouse. Pre-sales for select dates are ongoing, and general on-sale begins Thursday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. local time for the Washington, DC show, followed by remaining dates Friday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Formed in 1993, Gene rose during the Britpop era with top-eight UK albums Olympian and Drawn to the Deep End.
