The San Jose Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon, which has its 20th running this weekend, is like a progressive music festival with more than a dozen bands on pop-up stages around town. The only catch is you have to run 13.1 miles to hear them all. But nearly 5,000 people did just that last year - along with another 3,700 who participated in the accompanying 5K and 10K runs - so there must be something about the music that gets legs pumping.
Chelsea's King's Road is one of London's most iconic streets. Even if you rarely venture west, chances are you've heard the name. Once a private route for royalty between Whitehall and Hampton Court Palace, the street found new fame in the swinging sixties as the beating heart of fashion and youth culture, and in the '70s Vivienne Westwood's own legendary boutique helped establish punk style.

Serge Pizzorno and co will be in north London next July, and they're the first headliner announced for Finsbury Park's series of gigs next summer. In 2025 the park was headlined by the likes of Fontaines DC, Stereophonics and Slayer (plus Drake at Wireless).
There's so much going this fall season in the Bay Area concert scene. And the best part? It's all over the place - both in terms of genres and location. How about some classic rock from Blue Oyster Cult at Plaza de Cesar Chavez in San Jose? Maybe you'd prefer to catch up the ever-amazing pop star Lorde at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley? Or how about the pairing of jazz greats Christian McBride and Brad Mehldau at the Presidio Theatre in San Francisco?
Guest Jimmy Fallon asked Kelce whether he and Swift had started the wedding planning process, and specifically wanted to know about the music. "Are you gonna do DJ or band? Are you thinking about all this stuff?" he asked, with Kelce revealing, "Yeah, I think we're live music kind of people, you know?" That might also include karaoke, after Fallon praised Kelce's surprise karaoke performance with his brother, Jason, in July at the American Century Championship.

The Billings plan to use the newfound time to go on vacation, spend time with family and even play pickleball, she said. Matt Billings told Pleasanton Weekly that he and his wife were not retiring, but rather they were in "recovery time" and that a new venture could be on the horizon someday.

When Guy Fawkes was preparing to blow up the Houses of Parliament all those centuries ago, he probably didn't foresee that 420 years later, thousands of Londoners would gather on a hill, serenaded by a Dolly Parton tribute act, watching hundreds of drones make cool neon shapes in the air to celebrate the failure of his plot. That's exactly what'll be happening in a few months time, though.

While this year's Taste of Los Gatos will feature Rush cover band R50 and Livewire headlining the main stage, with Chain of Fools, Identity Problem, Phill & Rob and Sam Marshall scattered throughout the one-day street party, make no mistake, the essence of the fest will be the nibbles and libations. "It's really telling the story of Los Gatos as a culinary destination," Chamber Executive Director Jennifer Lin said about the event, taking place on Sept. 6. "I really do feel like we're experiencing a culinary renaissance here."
