Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman Among 6 Dodgers Nominated For 2025 All-MLB Team
"Shohei Ohtani is among the seven Los Angeles Dodgers who were named as finalists for the 2025 All-MLB Team. Ohtani is joined by Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, Will Smith and Yoshinobu Yamamoto among the list of 115 players. The All-MLB Team was established in 2019 to honor the best players across both leagues at each position during the season. The results will be announced on Nov. 13 during the annual MLB Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada."
"Additional MLB awards to be unveiled in Las Vegas during the live All-MLB Show include the Hank Aaron winners, Comeback Players of the Year, Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman Relievers of the Year, and Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter of the Year. Fans and panelists vote for their choices at catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop, three outfielders (without regard for left/center/right) and designated hitter, along with five starting pitchers and two relief pitchers on both the first and second teams."
"A year after creating the 50/50 club in his first season with the Dodgers, Ohtani has followed it up with a new career high of 55 home runs. He batted .282/.392/.622 and added a 2.87 ERA in 47 innings pitched for good measure. Ohtani recorded his third consecutive season with an on-base plus slugging percentage above 1.000, finishing with a 1.014 OPS this year. He is aiming for a fifth consecutive All-MLB selection."
