Cork city's upper quays face flooding as arrival coincides with high tide. Roads are impassable at Cloghroe with spot flooding in Fermoy, Mallow, Bantry and near Kanturk. Met Éireann extended a Status Orange wind warning nationwide and warned the storm could become "a very impactful weather event." ESB Networks and local authorities have crews on standby. A Status Red marine warning advises avoiding exposed coastal areas.
