The Life of a Showgirl will be released late Friday night on October 3. A website countdown to 12:12 a.m. ET on August 12 preceded a follow-up appearance on Travis Kelce's podcast New Heights to provide more details. The album was inspired by behind-the-scenes experiences on the 2024 Eras Tour and was written, produced, and recorded largely during the European leg, with Swift flying to Sweden to record between shows. Production collaborators include Max Martin and Shellback. Long-time collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner did not participate. Fan excitement is visible through friendship bracelets and countdowns.
