Winter Datre, a 9-year-old Girl Scout, achieved remarkable success by selling 2,500 boxes of cookies, making her Staten Island's top seller for the second time in three years. Her mother, Jennie Datre, reflected on Winter's growth, stating that the experience influenced her daughter's capabilities. The short selling season posed a challenge, yet Winter's determination and innovative strategies, such as door-to-door sales and grocery store booths, led to her impressive results. Additionally, Winter aspires to open her own bake shop, indicating her entrepreneurial spirit at an early age.
When Winter learned that she was the top seller for the entire borough, she was "excited." The secret to her success? "Knocking on doors," said Winter.
Winter's incredible achievement - selling 2,500 boxes and becoming Staten Island's top cookie seller - is a testament to her hard work," said Karen Lundgard.
We would do, like, booths together, selling cookies with my friends, so I (liked) that," Winter explained.
In sharing her hopes for the future, Winter told the Advance/SILive.com that she would love to open up a brick-and-mortar bake shop one day.
