The mixed-use tower at 175 Third Street is a key part of the Gowanus Wharf development in Brooklyn. Proposed to cover 1,080,000 sq ft, it will include affordable housing, retail spaces, and recreational areas, including a rooftop pool. Additionally, a 28,000-sq-ft waterfront esplanade aims to rehabilitate the Gowanus Canal ecologically. The design, following BIG's earlier concept, features a U-shaped structure to enhance light and air access. Situated in a flood zone, it includes resilient designs to withstand storm flooding, making it a transformative project for the neighborhood.
