Eddy Pineiro replaced Jake Moody after the season opener and kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired to lift the San Francisco 49ers to a 16-15 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The win put the 49ers alone atop the NFC West. Coach Kyle Shanahan praised the team's fortitude, resilience and character after a shift-on-the-fly performance. Quarterback Mac Jones completed 27 of 41 passes for 284 yards with a touchdown and an interception while filling in for an injured Purdy. Purdy could return next Sunday when the 49ers host the Jacksonville Jaguars.
