The New England Patriots held their fourth training camp practice of the week in sunny Foxborough. The practice lasted around 90 minutes with players in shorts and shells, despite a few absentees due to injuries. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson and offensive tackle Morgan Moses participated in drills, while linebacker Jahlani Tavai left practice early due to a calf injury. Quarterback Drake Maye showcased improved downfield passing during the team's first 7-on-7 period, hitting big plays despite some inconsistencies in accuracy, notably connecting with Javon Baker and DeMario Douglas.
New England did see linebacker Jahlani Tavai, who suffered a calf injury this spring, leave practice early during positional drills. Tavai spent plenty of time with head athletic trainer Jim Whalen before departing.
The Patriots' fourth practice of the summer took place in a picture-perfect Foxborough day. While there were still no pads per the league mandated rules, the intensity was risen throughout the 90 minutes of practice.
