First snowfall of the season blankets NYC; winter weather advisory remains in effect
"New Yorkers woke up to a snowy morning on Sunday, with several inches of the white stuff having already blanketed parts of the city by 8 a.m. Snowfall will continue throughout the morning and afternoon, with the heaviest expected to fall before noon. The National Weather Service (NWS) has a winter weather advisory in effect throughout the metro area until 1 p.m. today."
