Aaron Glenn takes on the challenge of coaching the New York Jets, bringing experience from both successful and disappointing seasons. This will be his first training camp, beginning July 22. He is committed to transforming the team’s culture through significant changes in the roster and support staff, aiming to improve their narrative. Glenn recognizes the challenges ahead, noting that recent coaches have struggled to achieve success. He feels a strong connection to the franchise's history, particularly wanting to honor his mentor's legacy from their near-Super Bowl season in 1998.
Glenn stated, "We want to create our own narrative, we want to write our own book. When it's all said and done, this is going to be a book that a lot of people would like to read."
Glenn expressed awareness of the franchise's struggles, acknowledging, "The last six full-time coaches finished with losing records, including Rex Ryan, the last coach to lead them to the playoffs (2010)."
