Christian Barmore is returning to form after struggling with blood clot issues last season, which limited him to four games. He is currently participating in conditioning drills, focusing on regaining his strength and speed. Barmore has lost weight, now between 300 and 305 pounds, due to increased conditioning and dietary changes. He feels faster and more agile as a result. The decision to slim down involved collaboration with the team's coaching staff, particularly with Sports Performance Director Frank Piraino, to optimize his physical condition for the upcoming season.
I feel really good, man. I feel back to myself, feel back to normal. Just really happy, man.
I feel real better. I feel so faster, lighter, and I feel way quicker. And I feel like I move way better, it's the best I've felt moving since I've been in the league.
As a man, it's my decision. And their decision. I'm following their rules too. Just working hard with Coach Frank too. He's got a good plan for me.
These coaches I have and the medical staff are just really good people helping me put me in the best possible shape that I'm supposed to be in.
