"The idea that burnout is the price we must pay for success is a delusion. Had I known that I would have spared myself a broken cheekbone when I collapsed from exhaustion two years after I launched HuffPost. After that wakeup call in 2007, I became passionate about the science that links our health and our daily habits - food, exercise, sleep, stress management and connection with others. Fortunately, I was able to course-correct long before founding my second company. And when I started Thrive Global in 2016, elevating these daily behaviors as fundamental to our health and productivity became the foundation for the company."
"to use AI to make expert-level health coaching accessible to everyone."
Arianna Huffington moved from Greece to England at 17, earned a master’s degree in economics at Cambridge, and co-founded The Huffington Post, which was later acquired by AOL and BuzzFeed. After collapsing from exhaustion in 2007 and fracturing a cheekbone, she shifted focus toward the science linking health to daily habits such as food, exercise, sleep, stress management, and social connection. She founded Thrive Global in 2016 to center these behaviors for health and productivity. In 2024 she launched Thrive AI Health in partnership with OpenAI to use AI to expand access to expert-level health coaching.
