Ukraine war briefing: Zelenskyy accuses Moscow of doing everything it can' to sabotage peace talks
Briefly

Ukraine has expressed skepticism about the upcoming peace talks with Russia in Turkey, unless Moscow provides its peace terms in advance. President Zelenskyy indicated that the Russians have not yet shared the anticipated document outlining their peace conditions, and Ukraine suspects it may include unacceptable demands. A ceasefire is essential for any significant progress toward peace, according to Zelenskyy, who is also considering a four-way meeting involving Turkey and the US. Meanwhile, US sanctions against Russia are expected to ramp up further due to ongoing hostilities.
For a meeting to be meaningful, its agenda must be clear, and the negotiations must be properly prepared, the Ukrainian president added.
Unfortunately, Russia is doing everything it can to ensure that the next potential meeting brings no results.
There must be a ceasefire to move further toward peace. The killing of people must stop, Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
A leaders' meeting could contribute to the peace process, the Turkish presidency said.
