More than 30,000 runners will participate in the Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco, with many wearing costumes or running without clothes. The race begins Sunday at 8 a.m. at Howard and Fremont. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will close several streets starting Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m. through Sunday, May 17 at 11 a.m., including portions of Howard, Steuart, Spear, and Main streets. Additional closures occur along the race route from early Sunday morning through late morning, including segments of Beale, Fremont, Second, First, New Montgomery, and Mission streets. Further closures extend into the afternoon on Howard, Hayes, Scott, Steiner, Divisadero, and Fell streets.
