"Running daily from December 6 through December 24, the free, self-guided trail invites you to take a holiday walk through downtown and discover each larger-than-life ornament along the route. Start by picking up an Ornament Trail Guide at the Cable Car Turnaround at Powell and Market, then explore Union Square at your own pace as you track them all down."
"Each ornament is designed by a local artist, making the trail part public art installation and part holiday tradition. The ornaments are spread throughout the district, so it works well whether you are planning a full visit or just adding something festive to an afternoon downtown. Once you have found all 11 ornaments and taken a photo with each one, head back to the Cable Car Turnaround to redeem a prize."
Union Square hosts an Ornament Trail featuring 11 oversized holiday ornaments created by local artists, installed along Powell Street and the surrounding district. The free, self-guided trail runs daily from December 6 through December 24 and encourages visitors to walk through downtown to discover each larger-than-life ornament. Participants start by picking up an Ornament Trail Guide at the Cable Car Turnaround at Powell and Market and may explore at their own pace. After photographing all 11 ornaments, participants can return to the Cable Car Turnaround to redeem a prize between 11am and 6pm daily. Photos can be shared by tagging @unionsquaresf.
