Atletico Madrid defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 at the Estadio Metropolitano on Champions League matchday two. Antoine Griezmann scored his 200th goal for Atletico during the victory. Giacomo Raspadori, Robin Le Normand, Giuliano Simeone and Julian Alvarez also found the net as Atletico passed 200 Champions League goals, finishing on 204. The club became the 17th side to reach that milestone and the third from Spain after Real Madrid and Barcelona. Diego Simeone praised Griezmann's development, work ethic and longevity, saying "talent has no age." Atletico have scored 13 goals in a week and show improved scoring form ahead of a trip to Celta Vigo.
