Weekend Warm-up: Nothing settled between Bayern Munich, Dayot Upamecano as crunch time hits; Bundesliga predictions; and MORE!
"Dayot Upamecano has an offer on the table from Bayern but it won't be the last one. If there's still a chance of the defender signing and the agents want to talk about some clauses or a bit more money, Bayern are still willing to renegotiate. It's not the last offer. All in all, Upamecano could earn up to €20m gross (including bonuses) - he currently earns up to €16m. Bayern are doing everything they can to keep hold of the player."
"Dayot Upamecano and his management have submitted their demands to Bayern's sporting management, led by Max Eberl. These demands include a signing fee and additional clauses. Upamecano can imagine staying at FC Bayern in principle, but the terms have to be right for him. The player's representatives currently do not consider further negotiations necessary."
Contract negotiations between Bayern Munich and Dayot Upamecano remain unresolved, with significant obstacles over salary, signing fee and contract clauses. Upamecano can begin formal talks with other clubs in a few weeks, increasing the chance of a move to teams able to meet his demands. Bayern have presented an offer that could raise his earnings to €20m gross including bonuses from €16m and remain open to renegotiation on clauses. Upamecano's representatives have submitted demands and currently consider further negotiations unnecessary. PSG and Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to accept his demands; Bayern face budgetary constraints after recent extensions.
