Uber promoted Balaji Krishnamurthy to chief financial officer, replacing Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah. Krishnamurthy has worked at Uber for over six years, primarily in investor relations, and holds a board seat at autonomous vehicle company Waabi. Krishnamurthy indicated plans to invest capital in AV software partners, take equity stakes or enter offtake agreements with AV makers, and support AV infrastructure partners. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi projected autonomous vehicles as a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity and set targets to facilitate AV trips in up to 15 cities by the end of 2026 and become the largest facilitator by 2029. Uber reported Q4 revenue of $14.37 billion, up 20% year-over-year, driven by strong food delivery demand. Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah is leaving after three years.
