
"A male pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning, Toronto police say. Just after 8 a.m., the man who police say was between 20 and 25 years old was struck by a semi-tractor trailer truck in North York near Steeles Avenue W. and Petrolia Road, Insp. Jeff Allington told reporters Tuesday. The man was taken to hospital and died from his injuries, Allington said."
"The driver involved in the collision remained on scene. Toronto police are investigating the incident. Witnesses and anyone with dashcam or surveillance video of the incident are asked to contact investigators."
Just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, a male pedestrian estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old was struck by a semi-tractor trailer truck near Steeles Avenue West and Petrolia Road in North York. Emergency responders transported the man to hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the truck remained at the scene. Toronto police have opened an investigation into the collision. Investigators are asking witnesses and anyone with dashcam or surveillance video showing the incident to contact police to assist with the inquiry.
