'Famous' Bronx-based pizza chain fires up 3 Houston locations
Briefly

Happy Go Lucky is a new shaved ice and frozen cocktails concept opening in Houston this summer. Founded by restaurateur Shawn Bermudez and chef Matthew Pak, the venue will provide Hawaiian-style desserts and drinks, inspired by Pak's Hawaiian vacation. Diners can enjoy eight unique shaved ice flavors, customizable toppings, and frozen cocktails. This creative endeavor emerged from Bermudez's idea to utilize an acquired building for parking, thus expanding his restaurant portfolio, which includes The Burger Joint and upcoming concepts.
"In Houston, there's not a lot of that out here. There's shaved ice that's less detailed - that you see at festivals and stuff."
"Both Shawn and I had interest in a dessert concept. When I sampled shaved ice during a trip to Hawaii... it set off a light bulb in my head."
