Family of loving' woman, 62, killed in west London e-bike crash speak of their heartbreak beyond words'
"Our family is devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved Julia. Her absence has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. Julia was the heart and soul of our family, and her loss has left us heartbroken beyond words. The trauma Julia enduredand the heartbreak we experienced beside herwas unimaginable. No family should ever have to watch a loved one suffer the way she did."
"Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Julia, who have endured so much throughout this difficult time. Investigators have been working continuously on this incident for the past year, to try and piece together the circumstances that sadly led to Julia's death. Were you in the area this time last year and recall seeing or hearing the incident? Perhaps you saw something suspicious in the moments afterwards?"
A 62-year-old woman, Julia Burns, was struck by an electric bike on Elmwood Avenue, Feltham, at about 7.45pm on September 29. London Ambulance Service took her to hospital, and she died on February 13 after suffering serious injuries. The rider left the scene before officers arrived. On July 24, a 19-year-old man was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail pending further enquiries until October. The family described profound trauma and urged anyone with information to come forward. Investigators have been working continuously and are appealing for witnesses.
