Police have launched an investigation after a man was fatally hit by a car in a popular tourist area in London. The Metropolitan Policewas called to Park Crescent on Friday evening following reports that a man in his forties had been struck by a car. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service at 7.35pm. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

While on scene, the driver of the Ford Explorer, later identified as Bezan, stumbled toward officers in a hysterical crying state. Bezan appeared erratic and unsteady on her feet with visible bruising on her arms consistent with an intravenous drug user. Bezan told officers that her sister, who is autistic, grabbed the steering wheel while she was backing out of a parking space, causing her to run a person over.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a report of a "serious injury road traffic collision" that occurred at Curragh Hall at approximately 8.20pm. "A female child was struck by a Surron type e-bike which failed to remain at the scene," a Garda spokesperson said. "The child has been taken to Temple Street Hospital and is currently being treated for serious injuries."

A 14-year-old girl named Emanuely Da Silva Souza has died after a crash in Novato where the vehicle she was in struck a tree. The incident occurred when the car was driven by 18-year-old Cristofer Alexander Larreinaga Corea, who faces multiple charges including hit-and-run and reckless driving. Following the crash, Emanuely was taken to a trauma center but passed away after being hospitalized. Authorities have raised his bail to $500,000 as they await further investigation before deciding on additional charges. A hearing is set for Aug. 19.

Imani Williams, 36, was arraigned on Friday on second-degree manslaughter, leaving a scene of the accident, criminally negligent homicide and reckless driving charges, for the fatal June 5, 2022, hit-and-run.

Mollie Egold, 33, was pushing her twin boys in a stroller when they were struck from behind by a hit-and-run driver, Benjamin Lancaster, 44, on Hussey Road.

Pascual Tziquin was fatally struck by a red Dodge Charger while crossing the street with his son in Brooklyn, resulting in severe injuries and subsequent death.
