Malika, an eight-year-old child, ran downstairs from bed and told her father to stop, but he struck her with a knife. Her mother, Aisha Al Katib, told Malika to run, but before Malika could escape, Muhammed Al Shaker Al Tamimi held the child in front of him and murdered her. Al Tamimi has a documented history of violence against women. He reportedly smiled directly into his partner's face while holding their child and cutting her throat. Al Tamimi pleaded guilty to the murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
