"Aisha Al Katib (32) told the court today of her daughter Malika's final moments at the hands of Muhammed Al Shaker Al Tamimi, who has pleaded guilty to the child's murder and was today sentenced to life in prison for his crime."
Malika, an eight-year-old child, ran downstairs from bed and told her father to stop, but he struck her with a knife. Her mother, Aisha Al Katib, told Malika to run, but before Malika could escape, Muhammed Al Shaker Al Tamimi held the child in front of him and murdered her. Al Tamimi has a documented history of violence against women. He reportedly smiled directly into his partner's face while holding their child and cutting her throat. Al Tamimi pleaded guilty to the murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
