Labour MPs met Jaguar Land Rover and supply chain companies to assess the impact of a cyber-attack. The Department for Business and Trade has held discussions and is working to help resolve the situation. Business Secretary Peter Kyle and Industry Minister Chris McDonald met officials and JLR CEO PB Balaji. JLR extended the shutdown until 1 October and is building the timeline for a phased restart. JLR is working with the National Cyber Security Centre, law enforcement and cybersecurity specialists. JLR affirmed support for customers, suppliers, colleagues and retailers while the government seeks to minimise industry impact.
