Police hunting young woman after man in his 60s pushed onto tracks at London rail station
"A young woman is being hunted after a man in his 60s miraculously survived being pushed onto the tracks at a south west London train station. Officers responded with paramedics and found the victim on the line. His female attacker, in her 30s, made off down the tracks before the emergency services arrived. She is described as white, with blonde hair, was wearing a grey coat and distinctive black bobble hat at the time."
"Detective Inspector Baba Adeyeye said: This is a really concerning incident and it is a relief that the victim wasn't more seriously injured. I'd like to reassure the public that we are working at pace to locate the woman involved and establish the full circumstances of what happened. As well as anyone who witnessed the incident, we'd like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the woman's behaviour at the station in the lead up to it, or seen her in the time after."
At Worcester Park station a man in his 60s was pushed onto the tracks and miraculously survived. Officers and paramedics found him on the line and took him to hospital, where he was found to have sustained a shoulder injury; there is currently no information to suggest more serious injuries. A woman in her 30s is believed to have pushed the man and fled down the tracks before emergency services arrived. She is described as white, with blonde hair, wearing a grey coat and a distinctive black bobble hat. Detectives have reviewed CCTV and witnesses and are asking anyone with information to contact BTP, quoting reference 189 of 30 September.
