A 13-year-old female student was arrested on Monday after allegedly making a threat to a Clinton school in a social media post. The student's name was not released because of her juvenile status. Clinton Public Schools confirmed the arrest and attributed rapid identification to FBI-developed communication channels. Superintendent Steven Meyer stated that within minutes of receiving notification the individual was identified, located, and taken into police custody by the Clinton Police Department. The district said there is no current threat to the school district. The investigation into the situation remains ongoing.
